Fulfilling her creative spirit from a very early age on by composing classical piano, guitar and singer-songwriter pieces, EMINA started performing her material at various venues throughout her hometown Luxembourg already during her
teenage years. Her subsequent success as a live-performer led to increasing national and international gigs, among which were main opening acts for Zola Jesus and Sun Glitters.
Her formative journey as a classical composer, guitarist and singer-songwriter took a turn into a different direction while completing her Masters Degree in Neuropsychology in The Netherlands. A steady drift towards electronic music
production and DJing led her to attain residencies in prominent clubs like Rocaw (LUX) and Musiekgitterij (NL), in addition to sharing stages with established producers such as Parov Stelar, The Avener, Synapson, Feder, Joris Delacroix,
Robin Schultz and Fritz Kalkbrenner.
EMINA released on Tonkind (Berlin), Sisyphon (Berlin) and Frenetica Records (London) with tracks supported by established names such as Steve Lawyer, Kerri Chandler, Tyron Dixon, Tom Novi, Carl Craig, Roger Sanchez and Betoko. One
of her tracks was charted by Dino Lenny (Ellum) and crawled the Frenetica Records Top 10 on Beatport in 2015.
In early 2016, the birth of a musical collaboration with Berlin-based producer Jacob Phono led to her full-time devotion to music. With a multi-faceted musical background, EMINA sculpts her distinct yet variable sound with a deep,
driving, hypnotic signature. She is currently working on new material in Berlin while frequently appearing in the nightlife-scene throughout national and international clubs and festivals. In addition, Jacob Phono and EMINA are managing
and expanding their own underground music label, Collage Audio.
