Jacob Phono: Danish, Berlin-based electronic music producer, DJ, singer and audio engineer. DJ’ing his way through the worldwide music scene and crawling up to the Top 10 most sold on Beatports Minimal and Techhouse charts, he has
released tracks on some of the best-known European and intercontinental labels such as Cocoon, Bedrock, Plastic City, Highgrade, Cityfox, Heinz Music, Audiomatique, Fantastic Friends Recordings, Noir Music and many more. His productions
have been played and charted all over the globe by prominent artists amongst which are; Richie Hawtin, John Digweed, Steve Bug, Magda, Finnebassen, Matthew Dear, Subb-an and Anders Trentemoller.
With his profound devotion to the twisted dark dancefloor, his sound is inspired by the late night/early morning underground-club atmosphere, characterised by a dynamic twist of hypnotic soundscapes and polyrhythmic grooves supported
by transcendental basslines, blended into a mix of Romanian and Detroit Techno- sometimes with a melancholic edge of harmonic melodies and vocals.
Having already played at the most respected venues in Berlin (incl. Bargain/Panoramabar, Club Der Visonaere, Tresor, Sisyphos, Golden Gate, Kater Blau, with a previous residency at the old Katerholzig), he is currently frequently
continuing to be booked in Berlin and worldwide, already having performed in New York, Seattle, Cape Town, Russia (Moscow, Penza), Poland, Paris, Milan, Serbia, Copenhagen, The Netherlands, Belgium etc.
Throughout his music career, he additionally worked on various Danish theatre plays as a sound engineer and composer, as well as having produced music for short films as part of the Danish Alternative Film School “Super16”, which
speaks about the diversity of his musical talent.
He recently founded his own music label in Berlin called "Collage Audio", which already signed artists such as Guido Schneider, Doubting Thomas and Jens Bond, with many upcoming releases scheduled.
Jacobs promising upcoming album which is currently being finalised will be coming out in a few months, in addition to several EP releases on the labels Bar25 and Sysiphon.
